VERITY // HUMAN-CENTERED SECURITY LEARNING SYSTEM

BUILD BETTER
SECURITY DECISIONS.

Security awareness should do more than teach people what phishing means.

Verity is an adaptive Human-Centered Security learning system designed to help people recognize manipulation, evaluate digital evidence, respond to security situations, and strengthen the decisions they make around technology.

WHY VERITY

SECURITY AWARENESS SHOULD NOT STOP AT “DON'T CLICK THE LINK.”

Traditional awareness programs often focus on rules, definitions, and whether a learner selected the correct answer. Verity focuses on the decision itself.

  • What did you notice?
  • What evidence did you use?
  • Who or what are you trusting?
  • Does the request make sense?
  • What should you do next?
The goal is not cybersecurity vocabulary memorization. It is recognizing what is happening and making stronger, better-informed security decisions.

VERITY // LEARNING SYSTEM

ASSESS. LEARN. PRACTICE. REASSESS.

01

Decision Baseline

Thirty scenario-based decision points establish initial evidence across Verity security competencies.

02

Human Security Posture

Demonstrated performance becomes a current view of strengths and supported development areas.

03

HCS Core

Every learner establishes a shared Human-Centered Security foundation.

04

Adaptive Academy

Applicable modules are assigned from demonstrated needs; learners receive the modules their evidence supports.

05

Decision Labs

Interactive scenarios and simulations provide practice making security judgments.

06

Reassess + Pulse

Continued practice and future reassessment provide new evidence as decision-making develops.

HCS // FOUNDATION

HUMANS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF SECURITY.

People are not simply a system's weakest link. People create, operate, interpret, and respond to security controls. Verity applies the Afronomias Human-Centered Security framework to strengthen autonomy, agency, verification, awareness, analysis, and action.

Autonomy

Understand what information, access, and decisions remain within your control.

Agency

Choose, respond, disengage, verify, recover, and act.

Security Judgment

Evaluate evidence and context rather than relying on automatic trust or fear.

MANDATORY FOUNDATION

EVERY LEARNER STARTS WITH HCS.

CORE 01

Human-Centered Security Foundations

Learn how people, technology, autonomy, agency, responsibility, and security interact.

CORE 02

Verify Before Trust

Explore identity, authentication, verification, authorization, relationships, and trust boundaries.

CORE 03

Awareness → Analysis → Action

Recognize what is happening, evaluate evidence and context, and use agency to choose what happens next.

HCS CORE // REQUIRED FOR ALL LEARNERS

VERITY // ADAPTIVE DEVELOPMENT

LEARN WHAT YOUR EVIDENCE SAYS YOU NEED.

The baseline does not force every learner into the same path. Verity assigns applicable adaptive modules from demonstrated needs, while other Academy content remains available.

MODULE 01 // AVAILABLE

Social Engineering Tactics & Influence

Recognize urgency, authority, reciprocity, familiarity, rapid trust, emotional pressure, and other influence tactics.

MODULE 02 // AVAILABLE

Social Engineering Attack Methods

Recognize phishing, spear phishing, smishing, vishing, BEC, pretexting, impersonation, and related patterns.

MODULE 03 // AVAILABLE

Digital Identity, Domain & Source Verification

Inspect domains, email identity, URLs, login sources, CAPTCHA behavior, and independent evidence.

MODULE 04 // AVAILABLE

Credential, Access & Identity Protection

Understand MFA, OTPs, recovery methods, credential exposure, digital presence, and information aggregation.

MODULE 05 // AVAILABLE

Browser, Device & Malicious Interaction Safety

Evaluate permissions, extensions, downloads, browser behavior, malware indicators, and manufactured problems.

MODULE 06 // AVAILABLE

Organizational Security & Human Risk

Understand standards, employee responsibility, policy, guardrails, escalation, and security culture.

MODULE 07 // AVAILABLE

Incident Response, Recovery & Troubleshooting

Practice what to do after something goes wrong—without shame, panic, or hiding the incident.

MODULE 08 // AVAILABLE

Cyber Ethics, Privacy & Responsible Technology Use

Apply roles, permissions, job duties, privacy expectations, and the CIA triad to responsible technology use.

DECISION LABS

DO MORE THAN READ ABOUT SECURITY.

Interactive practice helps learners apply concepts before encountering them in the real world. These panels are public demonstrations and use no learner data.

EVIDENCE, NOT LABELS

YOUR RESULTS DESCRIBE WHAT YOU DEMONSTRATED.

Verity evaluates activity within its learning environment. It does not assign permanent characteristics to people. Learning paths respond where additional practice is supported by evidence.

VERITY // ADAPTIVE ASSIGNMENT

NOT EVERY LEARNER NEEDS THE SAME TRAINING.

Deterministic, evidence-based assignment can avoid unnecessary remediation without imposing an arbitrary cap on supported development.

PUBLIC FAQ

QUESTIONS ABOUT VERITY.

What is Verity?

Verity is an Afronomias Human-Centered Security learning system focused on security recognition, decision-making, applied practice, and adaptive development.

Is Verity a phishing training platform?

Phishing is part of Verity, but the system also covers social engineering, identity verification, account security, browser and device safety, organizational security, incident recovery, and cyber ethics.

Do I need cybersecurity experience?

No. Verity teaches concepts in accessible language while providing deeper technical practice where useful.

Does every learner complete the same modules?

No. All learners complete HCS Core. Adaptive modules are assigned from demonstrated learning needs.

Does Verity use AI to grade me?

Structured Verity assessments use deterministic scoring. Future tools may use technology for other supported purposes without replacing assessment integrity.

What is Human Security Posture?

It is Verity's representation of demonstrated security-decision evidence within the learning environment—not every aspect of cybersecurity or an inherent personal trait.

Does Verity provide a certificate?

Eligible learners may receive a certificate of completion after meeting the required learning and assessment criteria.

Is Verity free?

Verity is currently available through an open preview while Afronomias tests and refines the platform. Future access and licensing may differ.

Can organizations use Verity?

Organization memberships and administrators are supported in the platform architecture. Expanded seat management, assignments, reporting, and organization-wide insights are planned for later releases.
